How I booked 50 interviews in a month (without applying to a single job)
In December 2022 I booked 50 interviews for my next job in a single month.
I’ll show you a screenshot in a sec so you know I’m not full of shit..
but first let me give you some additional backstory.
I’ve worked in tech for 6+ years.
I enjoy having a full-time six-figure income and the stability that comes with corporate life…
And, I have bigger goals for myself.
These days I not only work my fulltime job,
I also run an AI & business consultancy to a handful of multi-6 & 7 figure businesses,
have an amazing relationship,
a puppy, tons of great friendships & hobbies I enjoy.
Why am I telling you this?
Because the number one thing I get asked from people is….
“You’re doing so much! How do you have time for it all?”
The answer?
Systems.
I build systems that work FOR me, without putting in any manual effort.
The system I’m about to show you is the system I used to land myself my perfect corporate job (doubling my pre-existing corporate income to over $165,000).
Here’s proof of me having 35 interviews in a 3 week span in the ‘worst hiring market of recent history’:

In case you’re still skeptical,
here are another few dozen emails from the same time period from recruiters reaching out to interview me":

The best part?
I didn’t apply for a single job.
Curious how I did it?
Let’s break it down.
Delaney’s Epic Automated Dream Job Application System
1. Identify the type of job you want (not the job you think you’re qualified for).
For me, this was senior product manager at $160,000+ per year. Was I entitled to a senior PM role? not necessarily, but getting a job is all about how you position yourself.
2. Fix your resume.
Use AI tools like Resumeworded.com to score your resume for the specific job that you’re looking for. You need to ensure your resume scores at least 90% or else the auto-filtering algorithms on LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. will filter out your resume before a single recruiter even sees you. I’m not going to spend time here teaching you how to write a ‘good’ resume, there are plenty of tutorials online on how to make sure you write a compelling description of your achievements
What if you’re not qualified?
I honestly wasn’t. My background was nothing special. What did I do? I started a coaching company, I built my own Mobile App and launched it on the app store, I started a podcast interviewing super successful tech & business leaders, and now I run an AI consulting business. All of these things augment my ‘traditional’ work experience and make my boring tech background much more desirable.
LinkedIn Optimization
Complete the same process using ResumeWorded to assess your LinkedIn profile. Make sure you have all the buzzwords, a high-quality photo, comprehensive description.
3. Hire a VA
Coming from the entrepreneurship world, everyone these days has a virtual assistant. However, it’s MUCH less common in the traditional working world.
What’s a VA? A virtual assistant is someone you hire from a developing country at a very low hourly rate to complete non-strategic tasks on your behalf so you can focus on doing the things that help you actually hit your goals.
I get my VA’s from the Phillipines for $4 per hour.
If you hire the right way, they are FANTASTIC and will do great work for you.
The best place to find your VA is Onlinejobs.ph. It does cost $70/m to join the platform, but once you find a few solid candidates you can leave the platform within month 1.
The hack is to have them submit a 2-3 minute Loom video during their application (I have them fill out a google form) with answers to standard questions, but this helps me understand how good their verbal English is.
Once I find at least 3 solid candidates, I give each of them a practice project to see their competency as it relates to the task I’m hiring for.
I hire the candidate who has done the best across the 2 steps.
4. Have the VA manually apply on your behalf
Once establish trust with the VA, I give them access to my LinkedIn, and have her apply to at minimum 20 jobs per day. I provide her guidelines on what type of jobs to lookout for, and any caution signs for jobs to stay away from.
I also give her instructions on how to use ChatGPT to create custom Coverletters for each job she applies to on my behalf.
We set the expectation up front that she can apply to 10 jobs / hour & should spend 2 hours on this task per day. Thus, I am paying $8/day, 5 days, 4 weeks —> that’s $160 every month. When the upside is an extra $10,000+ per month after I land my job, this is obviously worth the investment even if it takes me a year to find my next job.

THIS IS THE MAGIC
At this point, you should start getting at least a few interview requests per week. If not, you probably need to improve your resume.
Now it’s time to sit back, brush up your interview skills, and take a few interviews per week until the perfect job comes along.
That’s what I do anyway. Always be open to the next opportunity.
